1. Advertising Model

BytePulse operates a freemium model with contextual advertising in the free tier.

2. Core Principles

  1. Contextual Only — ads matched to story category (a finance ad runs alongside a Business story). No behavioural targeting, cross-app tracking, retargeting, or RTB based on personal profiles.
  2. No Personal Data Sharing — we do not share user personal data with advertisers, ad networks, or ad-tech platforms.
  3. Clear Labelling — all ads labelled "Sponsored", "Ad", or "Presented by [Brand]". Ads will never be disguised as editorial content.
  4. Premium Ad-Free — paid subscribers see zero ads.
  5. No Minor-Targeted Ads — users under 18 see only general contextual ads, no targeting.

4. Prohibited Categories

We will not accept ads for:

  • Tobacco, vaping, smoking
  • Alcohol (Indian audience)
  • Gambling, real-money fantasy sports (unless legally compliant and disclosed)
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives
  • Pornographic or sexually explicit content
  • Misleading health claims, miracle cures, unverified supplements
  • Predatory lending, payday loans
  • Political advertising without funding disclosure
  • Ads targeting or exploiting minors
  • MLM or pyramid schemes
  • Any product illegal under Indian law

5. Editorial Independence

Advertising revenue does not influence editorial content, AI-generated analysis, story selection, Beyond Bias outputs, or feed ranking. The Company maintains a strict separation between advertising operations and editorial/AI operations. No advertiser receives preferential treatment.
